Manhasset Al Fresco Dine & Shop Permitting Falls Under The Town Of North Hempstead’s Lift Up Local Initiative. As Such, Certain Restrictions Apply For Participation.
Must be a member of the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, www.manhassetchamber.com
All storefronts within specified Street Closure are allowed to set up tables and/or signs immediately in front of their store. Restaurants are allowed to set up dining tables in accordance with current COVID guidelines. Temporary or short term renters inhabiting vacant stores must comply with Village and/or Town permitting codes. All storefronts must submit participation status application to Manhasset Al Fresco Committe (shopmanhasset@gmail.com) along with liquor applications, if applicable.
Storefronts located outside of specified Street Closure may set up temporary store in predetermined location(s) based on availability. The business owner must submit an application form and waiver and receive approval from Manhasset Al Fresco 1 week prior to the specific date.
Liability coverage. The storeowner can expand into the sidewalk in accordance with the sidewalk sale permit.
No trailers or parked vehicles will be allowed on the street once street closers go into effect, unless emergency vehicles or with the permission of the MLFD.
Temporary food & beverage locations will not be allowed unless changes in permitting from Nassau County Department of Health. Any additional or temporary permitting will be the responsibility of the business setting up the temporary site in accordance with Nassau County Board of Health. All health, safety and other approvals, including Nassau County Department of Health, must be complied with. Temporary Food Vendor Application
Qualifications: The event is for Manhasset Storefronts only on Plandome Road, if by any chance a storefront is not participating, the available location may be offered to businesses within Manhasset off of Plandome Rd. The is not a craft/vendor street fair. No home businesses in 2021 under this Lift Up Local program
This is a free event however we do encourage all businesses to support the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce by joining or renewing their yearly membership of $100! Thanks to your support we are able to continue to organize these events!
Manhasset Al Fresco! What you need to know!
Thank you for participating in this Community Event! Some Important info for the day of:

End Time will be emailed week of event date
Remember this is a community event, please make sure to maintain your space, so the streets are clean for the next day. We would like to keep the event ongoing and need everyone’s support to make sure the sidewalks and streets are cleaned and trash is picked up!
Make sure to check your emails prior to the event!!!
Plandome Road storefronts and restaurants will be able to set up in front on their business. Tents will not be allowed. Storefronts may set-up on sidewalk with a table, merchandise, service etc.
Restaurants may set up tables/chairs on the street to the width of their storefronts. If serving alcohol, you will be provided with a washable spray paint to outline the perimeter of your outdoor serving area so any alcohol served stays within your serving area. To serve alcohol you must provide the liquor application and copy of liquor license certificate to be submitted to the town for approval.
If you are not a business on Plandome Road, you will be contacted the week of event with your assigned space.
